Meet Charlene Mathonsi a young farmer in Kadoma who is involved in an amazing project where she has partnered with farmers in her surrounding communal areas to Restore Economic Dignity by helping farmers grow flowers for their seeds for export. The local farmers are assisted through education and sustainable farming techniques. This is a fantastic model that can be used to connect local communal farmers to export markets or even food security in Zimbabwe.
Charlene this year will be joining a group of Zimbabweans on the Mandela Fellowship (YALI) and we are very excited that she will be able to share her thoughts about sustainable agriculture in Zimbabwe to the world and brainstorm with so many people on how to continue on this amazing journey to RESTORING ECONOMIC DIGNITY to Zimbabweans.
